Visit one of the Cape’s most renowned wine routes in style and
tranquility and discover the rich heritage of the surrounding towns,
which are steeped in history.
This tour takes
us from Cape Town to the town of Stellenbosch, which was founded in
1679. This town boasts many historic buildings with architectural
influences from the last three centuries. We also visit Paarl, the
‘Pearl of the Winelands’ with its beautiful valley and numerous
vineyards.. We move on to Franschoek, a quaint little town with
breathtaking scenery. This is the heart of the Cape winelands. This
picturesque village began by the early French settlers know as
Huguenots, who came to the Cape after the revocation of the Edict of
Nantes in France in 1685. There we visit the Huguenot Memorial. This
town chronicles the history of these pioneers, with each of the
Huguenot farms having its own fascinating story to tell. Included in
this tour are three wine tastings.
